Half Atwood Machine group: Detective mode today. The team reviewed the growing dataset and focused on why percent error seems to rise as hanging mass increases. A leading hypothesis is that the PASCO Smart Cart sensor (or the measurement system) becomes less reliable under higher loads/tension. They also supported the wind tunnel work by helping measure diffuser dimensions.
Cosmic Particle Detector group: Small hardware changes, big stability. The team improved the felt mounting by adding more split pins so the felt holds its shape consistently. They also pitched in on wind tunnel progress by helping with the honeycomb CAD work.
Wind Tunnel group: Angles were checked and the diffuser passed inspection. The team finalized diffuser-related dimensions and used trig checks to confirm consistency. They also measured the diffuser on the earlier prototype and found that the geometry agrees with expectations. Next steps: tidy the cut-out edges and keep moving on load-cell placement details.
